Kiana Necklace
We designed this necklace as a tribute to our dear friend Kiana. Just like the woman it’s been named after, this piece radiates boldness, bravery, and inspiration. Kiana is a photojournalist whose career success has been hard-won. She came to Afghanistan unsupported and built her career through a dogged commitment to even the most challenging assignments. Kiana is resilient and strong, but soft around the edges, caring for her community through homecooked meals and a listening ear.
To honor her essence, we created something that represents balance, yin and yang, masculine and feminine. Kiana’s name means “fourth element” so we crafted a square pendant, with each corner designated an element; water, earth, fire, and air. Available in three colors.
Note: All products are handmade making each piece a unique creation. There may be slight variations between the product you see and the one you receive.
Province: Kabul
Material: Brass gold plated, Lapis, Tourmaline and Turquoise of Bamyan
